Robert Burns Road Trip
Another fun road trip took place - this time touring a couple of Vermont's power plants. Who knew how much there was to learn there! Thanks to Dad Dave Gilmore, a Green Mountain Power employee, and to Dad Art VanDenBerg for spearheading the event. 
Special thanks, also, to Dad Marke Englert and members of DeWitt Clinton Lodge who put on a terrific outdoor barbeque, despite the persistent rain.

Picnic Table Raffle

Robert Burns Chapter, Barre, and DeWitt Clinton Lodge, Northfield, are raffling off three custom built picnic tables: one red,  one white and one blue.  Thanks to Dad Art VanDenBerg, Dan VanDenBerg and a great crew who put this all together.

40 tickets  for each raffle  -  $5 each
DeMolays, DeMolay Parents, Advisors and Master Masons - make a visitation to Robert Burns Chapter meetings in Barre and get your tickets while they last!

W.M. Keith Gauvin of DeWitt Clinton Lodge won the first table and chose the red one. Proceeds of this raffle benefited the Robert Burns Chapter.

Tickets for the second raffle are now being sold and will benefit the Lodge's "Square Bear" program, providing teddy bears to local police, fire & ambulance squads. The bears do wonders for traumatized children.
The third raffle will benefit Robert Burns Chapter's Almoner's Fund.

Vermont DeMolays and Masons Parade
DeMolays and Masonic brethren joined in the state's largest Labor Day Parade in Northfield in a float jointly constructed by the two organizations: a great example of brotherhood and sharing among our organizations.
[side note: Dad Rowe served as the Parade Announcer, proudly promoting both organizations as the float passed, and heard numerous positive comments from the public later. We're making a good impression!]

Vermont DeMolays Assist at Scottish Festival
DeMolays from Robert Burns Chapter (Barre) kept traffic moving and provided directions at the Scottish Festival in Queechee, VT
Clad in bright orange, they fanned out over several wide open fields to direct hundreds of vehicles into the annual event in one of Vermont's most picturesque locations. Thanks to our Masonic brethren for the invitation to be of service!

Vermont DeMolays at Shrine Toy Ride-In 
DeMolays, Sr. DeMolays and Advisors from around Vermont assisted with the bagging and lugging of thousands of toys during the annual event: the toys' next step on the way to patients at the Shrine Hospitals for children.

Representative DeMolay Award

We're seeing more and more members going for this, and everyone can.
